21st March 2025 – US President Donald Trump awarded Boeing a $20 billion contract to build the US Air Force’s most sophisticated fighter jet, which will be called the F-47.

3rd September 1939:
King George VI declares war on Germany—two days after the German invasion of Poland.

14th October 1939:
The sinking of HMS Royal Oak by German U-Boat U-47 was a major shock for the Royal Navy.
In total 834 personnel were killed as a result of the successful torpedo strikes by the German submarine.
